💪Testing table strength, this one passes. –
We actually had these tables custom built for our Saskatoon office’s fitout. We wanted unique pieces that not only worked visually, but also complimented our collaborative work style.
With our project base steadily growing out west, we felt it was important to have a physical presence in Calgary as a second KSA location. Throwback to a few of our team members setting up our Calgary office.

Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it…
Different cultures offer us unique perspectives on not only the history of architecture, but the future of our industry as well. Our owner Kent took this photo on a trip to Shanghai. A very fantastic building façade of pink coloured metal siding with a great bright yellow “base” to the building – and fantastic neon lighting for a dance studio. Savage spent a lot of time adding a sign “ksa” to the façade of buildings in most of the photos he took…this was to demonstrate the early stages of the KSA master plan for world domination – the first step was opening a second office in Calgary, Alberta. The next step is offices in Shanghai and Ningbo. –

We designed the Kreos Aviation passenger terminal, hanger, and offices in Regina, SK. The project was completed in 2019, but lately we’ve found ourselves looking at this picture to remind us there are brighter days ahead. #stayhome #staysafe
Digital tools certainly make our day to day more productive, but there is something special about first exploring an idea on paper. It’s still a massive part of our process.
Throwback to a project we did in 2015 – The Blok. The client’s instructions from the beginning of the project were to “design a building that creates activity at the street level and also invites the public into a lively, active, colourful interior courtyard – similar to Granville Island in Vancouver.”
KSA’s Kent “Savage” Sutherland is a huge lover of art, and keeps our office full of it. As soon as we moved into our #yxe office, the decision was made to design the front corner window area to house an Artist in Residence. This space has been offered to Saskatoon artists selected by the Art Placement Gallery and Savage himself since the office opened in 2012.
The building design for the Regina headquarters of WBM Technologies started with the program; which fortunately “matched” with the shape for a building that Kent Sutherland had in mind for several years; a long, low one storey building inspired by sustainable design ideas and primarily orienting a rectangular building on the East – West direction to maximize solar gain and minimize energy use.
