331 1st Avenue North is a 6 storey heavy timber brick warehouse that was constructed in 1912 in downtown Saskatoon. Gayle MacDonald of Legacy Land Inc. purchased the building and an adjacent property in 2018 so the buildings [one of which had been vacant for years] could be renovated instead of potentially demolished. The project not only upgraded and renovated these character warehouses, but also will also add new life to the surrounding area of downtown Saskatoon. The historic buildings represent a perfect example of “adaptive re-use” as the tenant mix can include Retail, Office or Restaurant. The project was a successful collaboration between the developer, architect and the City of Saskatoon.
