In 1994 and 1995 Kent Sutherland worked as an Architectural Consultant for Orca Bay Sports & Entertainment.

At the time, Orca Bay was the owner of General Motors Place (now Rogers Arena), home of the Vancouver Canucks, and one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier concert and event venues. As the architectural consultant for GM Place, Kent’s work included review of all aspects of the architectural design and finishes to ensure that the owner received a first-class building. The work included design coordination including detailing, space planning, review of finishes and oversight over the re-design of the Corporate Boxes. Project management was also required including some aspects of contract administration, and Kent’s consultation work continued through the construction period and included review and verification of the work.
